MAGIC made in Las Vegas

Mid-August saw the world’s largest fashion trade event soar in popularity. Figures just in report 3500 overall exhibitors, a 30% increase from last year, “representing an additional 150,000 square feet of exhibitors on the show floor,” said Chris DeMoulin, MAGIC International President and Executive Vice President of Advanstar’s Fashion Group.

Paris Hilton revealed her S/S 2011 footwear collection at FN Platform while young fashion (Desigual, Free People) was on show in areas such as LOFT and STUDIO. Amongst the 300 swimwear brands at ISAM, emerging ones such as Nanette Lepore Swim were launched next to the returning DKNY, Ella Moss and Marc Jacobs. Dar Be Dar, the official swimwear sponsor for the Miss Universe Pageant welcomed Stefania Fernandez at its fashion show and PREMIUM unveiled “The Indigo Gallery,” a newly dedicated denim area.

The event held in Las Vegas hosted manufacturers and retailers from over 40 countries. So do watch out for the next show February 15 – 17, 2011.
