The North Face names its new VP of global product
The North Face has entrusted its vice-president of operations with a new position, vice-president of global product. Joe Vernachio takes over from Philip Hamilton, who had been in the position since the beginning of 2010. He will be responsible for overseeing the apparel and equipment divisions and will report to Todd Spaletto, president of The North Face Americas.
The company is banking on Joe Vernachio’s 20 years of experience in the outdoor market. Before joining the American brand, he was director of both operations and products at Spyder Active. He started out his career at Patagonia as product manager, and has also worked at Nike and Calvin Klein.
