Interview
Marie-Christiane Marek : The theme of Christmas is not so easy because for some designers it evokes nostalgia and at the same time, once they are working on it and they have found the idea, it takes off.

They are unique works of art, even when it's a simple Christmas tree, it must be playful, fun. For 8 days there is a free exhibition and the reaction of children is pretty amazing, they like that of Pierre Hermé, everything that is greedy and Dsquared2's one with gingerbread.

There is neon everywhere, whether it's steel tubes, or cuts with rainbow colours or like Casper which is the childhood dream or the emotion of Jean Charles de Castelbajac.

When we see what Jean-Jacques Ory made with his small model of a city, with a Christmas Tree inside which takes over, that is to say nature takes over and exceeds all the buildings, that really is a vision of an architect and it's really interesting, and then we have an American; Diane Von Furstenberg, who created a tree with her mouth, in fact it's her signature, it's the mouth of the painting that Andy Warhol made for her, so I find this very fun.

We benefit from all these creations from the artists, and of course to make an auction a cause, and I find this very important and for me it is what motivates.

Marine Lorphelin : I love Elie Saab and Chantal Thomass who is behind me, I did not expect it at all to be as creative, it really is beautiful, there are some art pieces that I really love, and I hope that people will love it, but there's really no doubt about it.
